۞ In this game you are asked to only have one account and only use one character if you will be roleplaying. Having a second character might be a possibility at some point down the road but for now only one is necessary. ۞ Other than in the games board (to an extent) topics and posts that are considered to be spam will be locked and your post count reduced. It may be tempting to spam to get your characters stats up but please don't reply to topics with "lol" or "I agree" for example as they contribute nothing to a conversation. Also, please do not bump old topics, anything more than a month old usually doesn't need a reply. The exceptions are any sticky topics and topics in the games board. ۞ Politeness and respect are an essential part of keeping any forum enjoyable, so please treat people how you want to be treated yourself. If you wish to report a member for breaking this rule please contact a member of staff. ۞ Please try and keep sig images smaller than 500 x 250 pixels as they stretch the page. On the subject of sigs please don't use too much space in them, something like two images and a piece of text is usually enough. Roleplaying ۞ First thing's first, absolutely no God-Modding. You are not invincible, you cannot kill someone with a swift kick, and you do not possess powers of telekinesis to make your opponent bow before your mighty BFG 9000. Let things flow naturally in your roleplays, a little bit of give and take is great for character development if you show some weakness from time to time. ۞ Swearing is allowed here, but be realistic with mature themes. You don't need to drop six F-bombs in succession if you notice your shoes are untied, so use your discretion when using bad language. The same applies for sexual themes or things like detailed torture and drug taking, I must ask that you keep that sort of thing PG-13. Things like kissing and caressing is fine, but full on sex, cocaine snorting or testicle-twisting is an absolute no-no. ۞ Due to the random dice rolling feature in the roleplaying boards for fighting the option to edit your posts have been disabled to prevent people changing their roll number, so be sure to spell check your work before posting. Roleplayers of all abilities are welcome here so literacy and grammar isn't a massive issue if you're not great at it, but please try to remain coherent and not make too many mistakes if possible. ۞ Realism isn't massively important, for example you can be in two places at once and we'll assume they took place at different times of the day. Obviously you can't grow wings or turn green and tear all your clothing bar your pants, but you're free to let your imagination run wild for the most part. ۞ Most importantly of all, have fun. I saw your post in the RP Board about that, it is a little confusing but I'll explain it the best way I can. In your case you're the attacker. You've attacked Cloud so you simply add up your attack stat (which is 0 as I write this) + your attacking bonus (also 0) + a roll of the dice. That's your total attacking score and the end of your post. TBC Cloud. Could will then have the option to run away if he wants to. He can either say "Cloud looks for a dice roll above 5 to run" or "Cloud needs an odd number to run." If he manages that he doesn't have to fight, but if he does have to fight he uses the same formula you do - Defensive stat (as he's defending against you) + defensive bonus + a roll of the dice. Lets say your total score is 9 and his is 6. You've got the higher score by 3, so you win the fight and that's how much damage is done to Cloud. That number will be subtracted from his health, and if it reaches zero you can turn him infected if you wish to or take mercy on him, otherwise he escapes the fight with a loss on his record (and a win on yours). I noticed you also used weapons, currently you don't have any. You'll randomly find some on your travels and they'll appear in your mini profiles, adding to you attacking or defensive bonus stat depending on what you find. Does that all make sense? *EDIT* I've actually put that piece of text in the 'How This All Works' topic, it explains the battle system a lot better than it did before.  |

And PG-13 so no scenes of intense gore ¬_¬ can you elaborate on that so I know the boundaries? =P

Just try think what wouldnt appear in them type of movies and just stick to what would  |

Damn it ¬_¬ there goes my writing style out the window =/ See how you get on with it, one guy here swears after every three words so it's not as strict as you may think, although if we get too many complaints we may have to censor a few things. People know when they sign up that this isn't exactly going to be a walk through Pony Land and to expect violence and bad language, they choose to sign up so it shouldn't be an issue. I only really draw the line at detailed torture and stuff like rape. |
